The COP29 Virtual Ocean Pavilion is an online platform which aims to raise the visibility of the ocean and showcase why the ocean matters in climate negotiations and to all life on our planet. A virtual format ensures that the Pavilion is able to respond to changes in the COP29 schedule and will reach a much wider audience than just those able to attend COP29.
You will be able to explore the many interactive features that the Pavilion offers, some of which are included below. A User Guide is available within the Virtual Ocean Pavilion platform after registration.

Access to events will be online and you can participate anywhere that you have Internet access. All features of the Virtual Ocean Pavilion are accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

Yes. Similar to a “cart”, you will be able to add documents to your “Delegate Bag” and email the content to yourself.
A Delegate Bag is a virtual briefcase where you can save documents from an exhibit booth. You can access files in your Delegate Bag for 2 weeks after the event and email them to yourself or others.
You may visit the “Info Booth” in the Pavilion Lobby for assistance. Alternatively, you may contact the Pavilion Secretariat (cmitchell@globaloceanforum.com) or vFairs providers (hafsa@vfairs.com) for any additional assistance required.
Yes. All live events will be recorded and will be available for on-demand viewing. Events will be open during the live days of 6 November, 11 November, 12 November, 18 November, and 21 November. On-demand resources will be accessible during the entire duration of the pavilion (6 – 22 November 2024) and one month after the Pavilion closes.
Your login details will be emailed to you after registration.
You will be able to connect with event organizers and other attendees of the Virtual Ocean Pavilion while active on the event platform using the Virtual Ocean Pavilion chat. Each live event will include a question and answer section where you will be able to chat with panelists or speakers. Exhibition booths will have designated times where attendees can chat with organizers. For any questions, contact the Pavilion Secretariat (cmitchell@globaloceanforum.com).
Yes. Only the attendee, event organizer, or exhibitor you are chatting with will be able to see your messages sent using the Virtual Ocean Pavilion chat. During live events, questions that are submitted will be viewed by the event organizers, and selected questions will be shared with any event attendees.
